Sanitary and industrial 3-way valves to control and adjust flow and shut off gases or liquids in pipework systems.

3-way valves
Sanitary and industrial 3-way valves with manual, electric automatic or pneumatic actuation suitable for pumping media with large particles.
What is a 3-way valve?
A 3-way valve is a ball valve with three pipe connections. It belongs to the group Shut-off valvesand is therefore suitable for shutting off gases or liquids in a process system. The advantage of a ball valve is that it can shut off most media under both vacuum and pressure.
Our 3-way valves are available as full bore and with either T- or L-port. The full bore model has an encapsulated spindle for maximum safety, even under pressure surges.
We have 3-way ball valves in different designs that work for sanitary and industrial needs. We have manual, electric, automatic or pneumatic 3-way valves, among others. Explore the selection on this page and order 3-way valves from Alflow.
How does a 3-way valve work?
The 3-way valve design consists of a valve body with hydraulic connections and seals. It seals the flow of liquids and gases by means of a ball. The ball can have either two or three holes, providing an optimal and efficient way to regulate the flow as it can decide how the flow should be.
3-way valves for multiple needs
Thanks to the small ball in the valve, it can precisely regulate, open or close the flow of various media. Other types of shut-off valves may not offer the same sealing as our ball valve, which is why an Alflow ball valve can be the right choice if you want the best result. You can use a ball valve under vacuum and pressure. This means that if you work with chemically aggressive media, our ball valves in good materials are ideal for use in both large and small process systems.
Our ball valves are suitable for several industries, including the food and chemical industries, so whether the valve is to work with district heating, food or chemical media, we have a ball valve for the purpose. Our valves are manufactured in stainless steel, acid-proof steel or plastic, offering the most optimal sealing of various media in the installation.
How to operate a 3-way valve
Our 3-way valves are easy to use as you can choose manual, electric, automatic or pneumatic models. If the valve is a manual model, simply turn the handle. This allows you to quickly regulate the flow of liquids and gases or close the valve completely.
If you need a more advanced solution with a very precise sealing of the valve, a pneumatic, electric or automatically controlled 3-way valve is suitable.
3-way valves in stainless and acid-proof steel
Our 3-way valves are made of stainless steel and are also available in acid-proof steel for greater resistance to acid and other chemical media. An acid-proof valve is hot-dip galvanised, which means that it has been immersed in molten zinc that provides solid protection against acid and other media, so it can be used in the installation for several years.
However, if the medium is water, a stainless steel valve may be ideal. It doesn't offer the same amount of protection as our acid-resistant models, as it doesn't have the same resilient surface treatment, but it also does the job perfectly.
