Sanitary and industrial pressure reducing valves to regulate downstream pressure to a predetermined set point to protect pipes and equipment from high pressures and pressure surges.

Pressure reducing valves

Pressure reducing valves

With pressure reducing valves from Alflow, your ventilation, heating and cooling systems are guaranteed fast regulation and precise flow. At the same time, we ensure that our pressure reducing valves protect your pipes and equipment from high pressures as they are made of the most suitable material - ideal for regulating a variety of liquids, gases and gases.

Find the best quality pressure reducing valves

At Alflow, customer satisfaction and good quality are paramount. That's why we strive to deliver the best pressure reducing valves on the market to your business. This also means that we can offer you a wide range of different pressure reducing control valves. In addition to pressure reducing valves, you can find, among other things:

Our pressure reducing valves can be self-operated, directly controlled, internally controlled and pilot-controlled, and are available in many different variants for different purposes. We have high-pressure control valves, high-sensitivity control valves, differential control valves, vacuum control valves, wafer-style control valves, gas pressure control valves and many more.

Pressure reducing valves are also available with a sliding-gate design, where the valve consists of two main parts: a moving disc and a stationary plate with multiple openings. The disc slides back and forth to open and close, and when the valve is closed, the disc overlaps the openings in the plate, ensuring the valve closes. The control element in the sliding gate valve is mounted perpendicular to the flow, unlike traditional valves. The direct flow in the sliding gate valve reduces turbulence and provides superior lifetime.

Do you need specific pressure reducing valves for water, gas, steam or aggressive media? We can deliver the type you need in the quantity you need as quickly as possible. See all our products here.

A durable solution for your installations

All our valves are of course of high quality, so you can feel confident using our products for your business. Among other things, our valves are type-approved and fulfil all industrial requirements in terms of application, hygiene, environment and user-friendliness.

In addition, all our products are tested before use to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements. The high standards are also seen in our suppliers, who comply with all requirements from directives and standards in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

When you buy valves from Alflow, you get a long-lasting solution. The thorough inspection is important because we know that good valves are crucial in installations where you need to control and regulate flow. That way, pipes and equipment are protected against high pressures and pressure surges.

How a pressure reducing valve works

Do you have a heating, cooling, ventilation or other system that uses either gas or liquid to operate? In most cases, it is very important to be able to control and regulate the amount of liquid flowing through the pipes and into the appliance.

And you can do that with a pressure reducing valve. Generally speaking, you can divide the valve into the categories of control valves for volume control, pressure control and temperature control respectively. The purpose is to reduce the pressure of a fluid to a certain value when it comes out of the valve.

For example, a pressure reducing valve for private homes helps protect water installations from excessive pressure from the supply. Otherwise, your house would get very hot if you couldn't regulate the amount of water going into your radiators. For this reason, it's important that you can control how much liquid or gas is passed through the valve.

So a pressure reducing valve helps maintain a constant output pressure and you can usually set the valve to a certain pressure within its limits. Once the valve is set, the reduced pressure will be constant. In addition, a lower outlet pressure will also create lower water consumption. A constant level of operating flow also reduces less noise in the installation.

Get expert advice, sparring and service

With a pressure reducing valve, you can keep the set pressure at a constant level - even if there are fluctuations in the inlet pressure. Finding the right pressure reducing valve is essential to protect your devices and ensure stability at low flow.

That's why we are happy to advise you on finding the best solution for your business. Among other things, we help you select the valve from a valve curve based on fluid data, capacity and pressure drop. Fluid data can be, for example, type, temperature, viscosity, abrasives or solids.

These factors influence the choice and size of the valve, as well as the choice of elastomers and surface finishes. You are therefore more than welcome to Ask us for advice. If you need more information about a specific pressure reducing valve in our range, we would be happy to tell you more about it.

What is a pressure reducing valve?

A pressure reducing valve is used for flow control in process systems, including manual or automatic control of flow, pressure, temperature, concentration, liquid level in tanks, etc. A pressure reducing valve typically has a plug/seat design where the plug continuously moves up and down to adjust the process condition.

What types of pressure reducing valves are there?

There are different types of pressure reducing valves for different types of applications - including manual valves with handles for simple process control, automatic valves for air/electrical control, automatic diaphragm valves for automatic process control with a spring/diaphragm loaded actuator and aseptic valves.

How to find the right pressure reducing valve?

A pressure reducing valve is typically selected from a valve curve based on fluid data, capacity and pressure drop across the valve. To ensure correct valve selection, it's important to consider all necessary process and site data as well as customer preferences.
