Sanitary and industrial positive displacement pumps suitable for pumping media with large particles.
Positive displacement pumps
Positive displacement pumps
At Alflow, we sell positive displacement pumps - also known as positive displacement pumps and positive displacement pumps - for the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. The pumps are made of durable materials that help ensure an efficient experience. Check out the range of positive displacement pumps from leading manufacturers on this page and transport the given liquids in the best way.
Displacement pumps push (displace) the pumping medium, for example with a piston, a diaphragm, gears or a screw.
What is a positive displacement pump?
There are several types of positive displacement pumps - for example piston pumps, diaphragm pumps, gear pumps, lobe pumps, screw pumps and progressive cavity pumps.
Diaphragm pumps are widely used because of their versatility. They have good self-priming properties, are suitable for ATEX applications, and handle low-viscous, high-viscous and particulate fluids. Diaphragm pumps come in several different variants, materials and sizes. They are available in aluminium, stainless steel, acid-proof steel, PP and PVDF.
Screw pumps are suitable for pumping extremely liquid and highly viscous products. They deliver gentle and pulsation-free pumping of liquids with high suction.
The screw pump moves the media by means of the double screws that rotate, pushing the media from the suction side towards the pressure side. This creates a uniform and delicate flow without pulsation. The non-contact movement of the screws also eliminates the risk of abrasive particles in the media.
Known for their versatility, screw pumps are available in various models in AISI 316 stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, Hastelloy, nickel-aluminium bronze, Duplex and Super Duplex.
Lobe pumps are an efficient solution for complicated viscous product transport tasks and are also suitable for handling abrasive products.
Lobe pumps are built in a modular design that makes it quick and easy to change main parts such as the rotor. This results in good service, long service life and easy and inexpensive maintenance.
Our lobe rotor pumps, which are volumetric lobe pumps manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel and special alloys (Hastelloy, Monel, Titanium), fulfil most transfer applications to suit hygienic and chemical properties.
Gear pumps (also known as gear pumps) are particularly suitable for applications that require versatility, reliability and safety. Our gear pumps are compact and suitable for pumping liquids that have lubricating properties.
Thanks to the precision-cut gears, our gear pumps produce almost no pulsation in the flow while being extremely precise, and the solid construction ensures high reliability. The gear pumps are modular and can be disassembled and reassembled without the use of tools, making maintenance incredibly easy.
Our gear pumps are compact, have a high suction capacity and can be supplied with a heating jacket. They are available in cast iron, Inconel, Hastelloy, Alloy 20, Duplex and Super Duplex.
Eccentric pumps are suitable for transferring both very high and very low viscosity products, as well as media requiring gentle handling and media with larger particles.
The eccentric pump moves the media by means of a single-twisted metal rotor that rotates eccentrically, creating a cavity that moves from the suction side towards the pressure side. This creates a uniform and delicate flow without pulsation. The low contact speed between the rotor and stator also reduces wear on the pump parts.
Eccentric pumps are known for their versatility and are available in different models in AISI 304, 316 stainless steel or cast iron for both vertical and horizontal installation.
A piston pump is a specific type of pump that is used to pump air, liquid or a combination of the two using its cylinders. When the pump is running, the cylinders force air or liquid into a reserve or storage tank. The pumps are powered by compressed air, hydraulics or water pressure.
The obvious advantage of this design is that the pump recovers air extremely quickly. The piston pump is also often made of cast iron and is among the most durable pumps you can find. This means you can use a piston pump to gently pump media with both thick and thin liquids.
The design of the machine allows solids to flow freely without clogging the system. You'll therefore see it used especially for dosing or moving high-viscosity or high-density media, for example.
