An expansion joint is mounted on the external jacket and the product to be thermally treated flows inside the pipes while the service fluid flows inside the external jacket.
Corrugation is a special treatment used on ordinary pipes to induce dynamic turbulence to the fluid flow, optimising thermal exchange.
With corrugated pipes, the thermal exchange efficiency can be improved by between 40-90% according to the following parameters:
